if you work with interior walls, stairs and other horizontal and vertical structural features in your model, then you'll be pleased to know that you can automatically align any such feature with a line, plane, or point in your scene. the tool is called wall align (you can see it in the screenshot below), and the plugin can be downloaded here.

the best way to support us is by using the plugin! you can use the sketchup instant road plugin to create a rough sketch of your project right from within the 3d modeling program. i've tested this with sketchup 5, sketchup 7, and sketchup pro 2013 and it works perfectly. (i've also tested it with su 2013 and that also works fine.)

the sketchup instant road plugin will generate instant rough road that is perpendicular to the front face of the model. the plugin will align the front face of the model, so as to simplify the creation of the road. the plugin is free, but you will need to create an account with a valid email address.
